The Eye of Horus -- the wedjat -- was ancient Egypt's great symbol of protection and healing. According to myth, Horus lost his eye battling Seth, and it was magically restored, making it a sign of wholeness ever since. Egyptians painted it on boats, tombs, and amulets to ward off harm. Our design sets the golden eye in a star-filled night panel, echoing the ceiling paintings of Egyptian tombs that mapped the heavens in deep blue and gold.
